Triple A Foundation Partners with Crimson Liberation Hub to Tackle Period Poverty
At Triple A Foundation, we believe that empowering girls begins with ensuring their dignity, health, and access to education. One of the most persistent barriers standing in the way of this vision is period poverty — the lack of access to safe, affordable, and hygienic menstrual products.
In Ghana, too many girls are still forced to miss school during their periods, compromise their health with unsafe alternatives, or face stigma that limits their potential. That’s why we are proud to announce a strategic partnership with Crimson Liberation Hub (CLH) — a Ghanaian NGO committed to ending period poverty through innovative, sustainable, and community-driven solutions.
Why This Partnership Matters
Crimson Liberation Hub manufactures affordable, high-quality reusable sanitary pads right here in Ghana. Beyond production, they lead menstrual health education workshops, challenge harmful stigmas, and create local jobs for women. Their impact is already remarkable:
- Educated over 1,600 girls on menstrual health.
- Distributed more than 500 reusable pads across rural communities.
- Conducted 10+ workshops to break taboos and empower girls.
For Triple A Foundation, this partnership strengthens our Pad A Girl Initiative, which provides menstrual products and education to underserved communities. By integrating CLH’s Filo Reusable Pads into our programs, we are not only ensuring access to safe menstrual care but also promoting sustainability by reducing plastic waste from disposable pads.
What We Aim to Achieve Together
Through this collaboration, we will:
- Distribute reusable pads to girls in rural schools, beginning with Gomoa Pomadze.
- Educate communities on menstrual health, hygiene, and dignity.
- Prevent school absenteeism, infections, and unsafe practices such as “sex for pads.”
- Empower girls with knowledge, resources, and confidence to stay in school and pursue their dreams.
- Support local women by championing products that create livelihoods.
Driving Impact Beyond Menstruation
This partnership is about more than menstrual products. It’s about restoring dignity, advancing gender equality, and contributing to multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being – by preventing infections and improving menstrual health.
- SDG 4: Quality Education – by ensuring girls don’t miss classes during their periods.
- SDG 5: Gender Equality – by empowering women and girls to thrive without barriers.
- SDG 12: Responsible Consumption & Production – by championing reusable pads that reduce waste.
A Shared Commitment to Change
Both Triple A Foundation and Crimson Liberation Hub share one bold but simple mission: to create a world where no girl is held back by her period. Together, we are taking another step toward building a future where girls can walk into classrooms with confidence, dignity, and the freedom to dream without limitation.
Join Us in This Mission
This partnership is only the beginning. To expand our reach and impact, we invite individuals, organizations, and donors to join us. With your support, we can bring menstrual dignity to thousands of girls across Ghana and beyond.
Together, we are not just ending period poverty. We are unlocking futures.
